Darnette Anderson, MDiv, RP
Trauma Therapist
Darnette is a Registered Psychotherapist with nearly a decade of counselling experience, supporting women who are navigating the impact of sexual abuse, sexual assault, and other traumatic experiences.
Trauma can affect much more than how we feel in the moment. It can shape how we see ourselves, how we relate to others, how we experience safety, and how we move through everyday life. You may find yourself struggling with anxiety, depression, shame, low self-worth, difficulty trusting others, relationship challenges, or feeling disconnected from yourself.
Darnette offers a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, supported, and respected. She understands that talking about painful experiences can be difficult, and she works at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you. Her approach is trauma-informed, strength-based, and collaborative, with care and respect for each woman’s individual experiences, needs, and strengths.
Together, you can work toward greater self-understanding, process difficult experiences, rebuild a sense of safety and self-trust, and develop new ways of relating to yourself and others.
You do not have to navigate these experiences alone. Counselling can be a space to begin making sense of what you have been through, reconnect with yourself, and move forward with greater confidence, choice, and self-compassion.
You may be a good fit for counselling with Darnette if you are:
