Healing from sexual violence is a deeply personal journey, and different people may need different types of support at different stages. The following organizations provide important resources, crisis support, advocacy, and information for survivors and their loved ones.


  1. Ontario Sexual Assault Centres

    Sexual Assault Centres across Ontario provide free, confidential support for survivors of sexual violence and their families. Services may include crisis support, counselling, advocacy, information, referrals, and support navigating medical, legal, and community resources.

Beyond Crisis™ Professional Resources Series is a professional resource series developed by Nada Johnson, Founder and Clinical Director of our specialty sexual trauma counselling clinic within our broader private practice at Nada Johnson Consulting & Counselling Services. These series are for professionals supporting teen girls and women healing from the impacts of sexual abuse and sexual assault, exploring common questions, clinical considerations, and reflections related to sexual trauma recovery and specialized sexual trauma counselling.
